Privacy Notice

Al Awadhi Industrial Equipment Installation Co. W.L.L ("Al Awadhi", "we", "us") is a company registered in the Kingdom of Bahrain under Commercial Registration number 169928, with its office in Manama. This notice explains what personal data we collect through this website, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and the rights you have over it under the Personal Data Protection Law of the Kingdom of Bahrain (Law No. 30 of 2018).
Who is responsible for your data

What we collect, and when
We do not ask you to create an account, and we do not track you around the internet. There are only two ways we obtain personal data through this site.
When you submit a quote request, we collect the information you type into the form:
- Your name, your company name, your work email address and your telephone number
- The country you are enquiring from
- The service you are interested in and the description of your requirement
- Optionally: quantity, the date you need the goods or services by, material or pressure specifications, and how you heard about us
- Optionally: any file you attach, such as a drawing, specification, P&ID or bill of quantities
When anyone visits the site, our hosting provider and our security provider automatically record limited technical data, as any web server does:
- Your IP address, the pages requested, the date and time, and your browser type
Why we use it, and on what basis
We use the information you submit through the quote form for one purpose: to understand your requirement, prepare a quotation and reply to you. That is processing necessary to take steps at your request before entering into a contract, and to perform that contract if one follows.
We use the technical data recorded by our servers to keep the site available and secure, to detect and block abuse, and to diagnose faults. That is our legitimate interest in operating a secure service, and it is not used to build a profile of you.
We do not use your data for marketing unless you ask us to, we do not sell it, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing.
Cookies
This site does not use advertising cookies, analytics cookies or third-party tracking of any kind. There is no cookie banner because there is nothing to consent to. The only cookies set are strictly necessary ones:
- A security token on the quote form, which exists to prevent forged submissions
- A cookie recording whether you are reading the site in English or Arabic
- For our own staff only, a sign-in cookie on the private dashboard
Who else sees your data
We use a small number of service providers to run the site. They act on our instructions and may not use your data for their own purposes.
- Our web hosting provider, which stores the website and its database on servers in Amsterdam, the Netherlands
- Our email delivery provider, which delivers the notification of your enquiry to us and the acknowledgement to you
- Our content delivery and security provider, which serves the site quickly and filters malicious traffic
Because these providers operate outside Bahrain, your data is transferred abroad. We only use providers who apply recognised international security standards and contractual protections to that transfer.
We will also disclose data where we are required to by law, by a court, or by a competent authority in Bahrain.
How long we keep it
We keep quote requests, and any file attached to them, for three years from the date of the enquiry. Enquiries become tenders, tenders become contracts, and contracts get audited, so a record shorter than that would leave us unable to answer questions about our own work. After three years the record is deleted.
Technical server logs are kept for a short period only, and are then overwritten in the normal course of operation.
If you ask us to delete your enquiry sooner, we will, unless we are required to keep it to comply with a legal obligation or to establish or defend a legal claim.
How we protect it
The site is served only over an encrypted connection. The dashboard where enquiries are read is protected by individual accounts, is not indexed by search engines, and is available only to the staff who need it. Attachments are stored on the server and are not publicly reachable. Our database is backed up.
No system is perfect, and we will not claim otherwise. If a breach occurs that is likely to harm you, we will notify you and the authority as the law requires.
Your rights
Under the Personal Data Protection Law you have the right to:
- Be told whether we hold personal data about you, and to be given a copy of it
- Have inaccurate or incomplete data about you corrected
- Have your data deleted, where we have no lawful reason to keep it
- Object to our processing of your data, or ask us to restrict it
- Withdraw any consent you have given, at any time, without affecting what was lawful before you withdrew it
To exercise any of these, email info@alawadhi-bh.com. We will respond within the period the law allows. We may need to verify who you are first, so that we do not disclose your data to someone else.
If you believe we have handled your data wrongly, you may complain to the Personal Data Protection Authority of the Kingdom of Bahrain.
Children
This site is intended for businesses. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18.
Links to other sites
Where we link to another organisation's website, that site has its own privacy notice and we are not responsible for it.
Changes to this notice
If we change this notice we will update the date at the top. Where a change is significant, we will say so on this page.
